Things to see and do during your stay at Hardrigg Hall Glamping Pods
Things to see and do
There is plenty to see and do during your stay at Hardrigg Hall Glamping Pods including walks and cycle routes from the door, plus nearby stately homes with gardens, plus art galleries and venues with giftshops and cafes.

Walking
There are plenty of walks to be enjoyed from your pod door, no need to use a car, but with the Western Pennines and Lake District fells being just a short drive away, you’re spoilt for choice including Ullswater, Keswick and the peaceful Haweswater fells.

Cycling
We are set amongst quiet, country lanes and cycling is the great to get about when staying with us. Feeling a bit more adventurous then there are plenty of routes for you including passes and the mighty Great Dun Fell or further into The Pennines over to Alston and Hartside Pass.

Up Front Gallery
An arts venue with exhibitions and music events as well as gallery, giftshop and café.

Dalemain House & Gardens
The home of The World Marmalade Awards and very fitting to celebrate Paddington’s 65th anniversary in 2023. Dalemain is also an historic mansion with extensive gardens to explore, open daily.

Rheged
Located on the edge of the Northern Lakes just off Junction 40 of the M6, The Rheged Centre is a gallery, café, cinema and shopping venue. You’ll find delicious local produce in their farm shop, well worth a visit.

Penrith
The historic market town of Penrith has a fantastic market every Tuesday, a great choice of independent shops as well as cafes, inns and restaurants. If you have enjoyed viewing our tower then Penrith Castle is a must visit as it was built at a similar time. Now ruined too, this medieval structure is imposing and well worth a look around.

Ullswater
Ullswater is just 20 minutes from Hardrigg Hall where you can enjoy both low and high level walks as well as visiting Aira Force Waterfall and taking a trip on the Ullswater Steamers. The village of Pooley Bridge has plenty of places to eat & drink too.
